#2 Misthalin Memories Menu
As a note before we begin this will also count as an Article.
Well I completed the basic designs for the main menu screen, it’s yet again simple but effective. In it I’ve added the status ailment “Poison” on Mitsurugii, and all the characters have a massive amount of HP and MP for their level, all at level 35, and on critical HP almost. As you can also see they’re all almost leveled up and have nothing on the Genkai Rush bar.
As you can see they have no money, plain because I forgot to fill that in. I have also seperated the menu into three sections.
The first section is the important stuff, and I’ll go into detail here.
“Status” is where you view the characters status’ in much more detail. In there not only is the front page information shown but also the Maximum MP, the values for Exp to level up and current exp, and the Genkai Bar values too. Instead of showing the most important status ailment the character is afflicted with, it shows all of them too. All of the characters stats are viewed here.
“School” will show that characters unlocked Schools and Mastery of them, and upon selecting a School will also show all the techniques and spells they have and if they are usable. It will also display that School’s Genkai Rush Techniques as well.
“Items” will display all the Items the character has in possesion. Selecting the Category (eg. Restorative) will display all the Items of that Category. The Items unusable will appear grey.
“Key Items” will display all the items you can’t get rid of, be it Crystal Shards, World Maps or Story Items.
“Equipment” will display the selected characters equipment and will allow you to change. It will also show the stat changes.
“Abilities” which I may change to “Skills” will be all the Non-Combat stats and their levels. Selecting them will give their effects and what you can do so far.
“Key Words” will show all the subjects you will be able to reply about or question. The more you hear from NPC’s the more open up allowing you to find more Quests, Items, Weapons, Techniques and Spells etc.
The second section is generally information or collectables.
“Quest Book” will show a list of all the Quests started or completed, and information about them. Note that it will NOT display the Quests you have still to do, as they are hidden until found. It WILL display however the Total Quests in the game and your percentage of completing all the Quests.
“Treasures” are Relics, Fossils, Jewels etc. that you find as you travel over Misthalin. They are generally worth alot however it is worth your time holding onto them as some may be used for quests. Selling them can get you various amounts of money depending on who you are selling it to, or various kinds of items/equipments etc. so it’s worth looking around for a worthy buyer.
“Discoveries” displays information obtained that can be trade or sold. It will not tell you where or when you can get more information, as it’s up to you to explore and find that. It will display the total amount in the game and the completion percentage of you obtaining them.
“Achievements” is based on Trophies, Achievements, Accomplishments, etc. for various consoles and shows you the various types of goals you can accomplish for a 100% Complete game, and gives you a bonus for each Achievement obtained.
Save Game and Quit Game are obvious.
Gendo is your money value.
Awesome isn’t it?
